Bring a Boat Day

Summer hadn't arrived, but the boats did

Welcome to the visitors

Fred with Calypso and W68

The club yachts gave everyone a go at yacht 'racing'

I'm not quite that small, I am standing in the water

If you don't have chine rails the water sticks to the sides

They don't make them like they used to

The club's 'Have a go' yachts with their extended keels

there was very little wind

and some of the racing was very close

Being good at sailing didn't help at all

.

The only rule was to go around the outside of the buoys

A series of knockout races produced a winner - but no prize

Landing Craft Tank, is a landing craft with tanks

Sea Scout (the boat not Colin)

enough water for a 65

First run for Bill's Tamiya PT15

a Nordkapp - I don't know who owns this one

Dog actually licks the swan!

The blue dye does look green

Andrew brought a whole fleet!

Thank you to all who came

Boats on the Mote

A bit quiet this year with other local boating events on the same day

Very nice!

yacht racing here too

Rob's Perkasa P150

Jean in her first yacht race

Interesting outdrive on Bill's cat

July Club meeting (Albert and I out of shot)

A mixture of show and tell and more redistribution of parts

Jeff brought along his latest acquisition - a Sugg

Which leads me on to next month's pond yacht event............

Unknown boat with huge staysail

Malcolm's new yacht

Peter with his new Bowman

Jeff's larger pond yachts

getting ready for August 11th

Peter with new Ailsa (is this a car boot sail?)

What will the VMYG think of all our boats when they come?

and beware..................

......there was this 'Thing' spotted in the car park the other day

Thanks to those who sent pictures!

Happy Boating

John K
